Pack a Shoe Box

It’s an exciting time of the year as we begin gathering items for shoeboxes. This box will bring hope, joy
and the message of salvation to a child in need. You can make a difference!

Step 1: Pray for the child who will receive your box. There are so many stories of a child receiving in
their box EXACTLY what they wanted/needed whether it be a doll, crayons, shoes, or even a toothbrush.
Step 2: Decide if you want your gift to go to a boy or a girl
Step 3: Decide an age range Ages 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14 (I have heard that ages 10-14 is the biggest need)
Step 4: Please try to include a little from each category so your child will receive a “complete” shoebox:
A “WOW” item i.e. deflated soccer ball with pump, Stuffed animal, doll)
School supplies i.e. crayons, pencils, pencil sharpener, notebook)
Hygiene items i.e. soap, washcloth, toothbrush, comb
Accessories i.e. hairbands, puzzles, small games/ toys, socks, flip flops

Liquids and food are not allowed! No toothpaste, bubbles, candy, gum etc.

Step 5: Include $10 cash for shipping or go to
https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/label-options/#printable-labels to purchase your shipping label and you’ll be able to track which country your shoe box was delivered to! Shipping labels are located on the OCC table at Samaritans Hill.

Drop off your boxes at Samaritans Hill by November 19th.
