Ash Wednesday Service

This year Ash Wednesday falls on Valentines Day. That seems like such an appropriate day to begin our Lenten journey recreating the greatest heartfelt gift ever given to humanity. Our service will include both the imposition of Ashes as well as a celebration of Holy Communion. Our worship begins at 7:00pm.

The theme for our Lenten journey this year is “The Road to Moriah.” We will be looking at God’s call to Abraham to take his son, his only son Isaac, and sacrifice him on Mount Moriah. The story of Abraham and Isaac reflect the story of God taking his only son Jesus and sacrificing him for the sins of the world.
