Advent Begins

November 30

This Advent we are focusing on the traditional Advent Wreath. The Advent candles are symbolic of the four weeks leading up to Christmas, each representing a key theme in the anticipation of Christ’s coming. The first candle, Hope, reminds us of the prophets’ expectation and God’s promise of a Savior. The second candle, Faith, calls us to trust in God’s plan as exemplified by Mary and Joseph’s obedience. The third candle, Joy, often a rose-colored candle, celebrates the good news of Christ’s nearness and the rejoicing of all creation. The fourth candle, Peace, signifies the calm and wholeness that Christ brings into our hearts and the world. Together, these candles mark our spiritual journey from darkness to the light of Christ’s birth.

Join us as we find Hope, Faith, Joy, and Peace this Advent.
