High Expectations: Prayer
He is Risen!! He is Risen, Indeed! Alleluia! We are going through a sermon series called High Expectations. Christ has redeemed us to the Father, “handed over to death for our trespasses and raised for our justification.” Rom 4:25 The work is complete. We have the promise of eternal life through Jesus. Now, what does that mean for our lives? What expectations does God have for us? As we read St. Paul (Rom 4:2 for example), we see two distinct kinds of righteousness: one, “standing before God” and another, we call “standing before the world.” God has provided for our righteousness before Him through His son. He also has expectations for how we are to be amongst each other. This week I get to talk to you about an especially important topic, prayer. Join us Sunday to hear how Prayer is the framework for our lives wherever we are standing.
